great stay with a central location

The location was perfect for exploring, right in the heart of everything. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with directions and local recommendations. The comfortable beds made for refreshing nights after long walks, and I appreciated the extra pull-out line in the bathroom for drying clothes. Nearby attractions like Iglesia de Santiago Apostol were just a short stroll away, providing easy access to local culture.

I loved the comfy room and enjoyed walking to nearby attractions like the Iglesia de Santiago Apostol, only a short 15-minute stroll away, and dining at delicious local spots just steps from the door. the Plaza hosts vibrant life that makes every moment fun and easy during your adventures.

My stay at Plaza Mayor was delightful! The location right in the heart of Villafranca Del Bierzo made it easy to explore nearby restaurants and the ambiance of the plaza. The staff were exceptionally helpful, making my visit feel special.

Good size rooms with comfortable beds, perfect for resting after a long day. Clean and nicely decorated, making it a welcoming refuge for tired travelers.

Showers lacked doors or walls, causing water to flood the bathroom floor—an inconvenience for a handicap accessible room. The room felt warm for sleeping, and when the window was opened, street noise and light disrupted the rest. A dirty pillow detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. little things matter when you’re exhausted from the Camino.

Noise disturbances were bothersome!!! Air conditioning issues made it uncomfortable at night!!! Check-in delays led to confusion and no one seemed to be available when needed!!!

However, street noise from the plaza can be quite disruptive, particularly at night, and the absence of dinner options required us to venture out for our meals. Overall, it’s a charming place with great amenities but could benefit from better sound insulation.

The hotel boasts a fantastic central location, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and enjoy vibrant street life. My room was surprisingly spacious with a comfortable setup, although the sound insulation could be better during quiet hours.

The location was fantastic right in the plaza, just a few steps to great restaurants and bars. The breakfast was a treat with fresh options. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
